I had someone tell me my scars from my broken wrists were ugly. It took me a while to get to a point where I was OK with that comment. I may not be perfect, but check it out, my wrist still holds my Garmin, I'm still able to run, I'm still alive, and every scar comes with an interesting story, so yep.... I'm still pretty Awesome, even with scars!
